#6 - Mind Your Aim

Before you go passing blame…

"is it me?"… at least thats what I try to ask myself before pointing a finger. A lot of the time, you can't control the situation but you can control how you respond and move forward. I know… how Buda zen of me.

My favorite lyric from this song is “Real strength is in restraint”. Being harmless isn't virtuous if you lack the means to inflict harm in the first place. Real strength is having the power or ability to do harm but restrain it voluntarily.

“A good man is a very, very dangerous man who has that under voluntary control.” - Jordan Peterson

“You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” - Marcus Aurelius

The song started as a message to a particular adversary to stop letting their victim mentality stump their growth and form their identity and quickly turned into a reminder to myself that focus on what you can control - yourself.
